Museum Bali

This is one of the old buildings in Bali are still intact today. It's right in the heart of Denpasar. Precisely on the east side Puputan Badung field, adjacent to the Great Temple Jagat Nath.
The story of this building long enough. Starting in 1910, when the Dutch ship landed in Bali car loan and lower the tourists, Bali is becoming known abroad. Since then, Bali from the arrival of many tourists who cause a lot of stuff of history and prehistory is missing or was carried off by the traveler. Seeing these conditions Mr. WFJ Kroon, Resident Asistant ordered Mr Bali and Lombok. Curt Grundler to create a museum planning team with Balinese architecture. The team is also building a museum with a blend of architecture temple (place of worship) and puri (manor house). The architect is I Gusti Ketut Gede Kandel of Abasan banjo, I Gusti Ketut Rai from banjo Belong, and Curt Grundler from Germany. Funds and construction materials seconded by the king of Buleleng, Tabanan, Badung and Karangasem.
But unfortunately, when the construction of the museum is almost complete in 1917, Mount Batur erupted. The quake caused by volcanic eruption that destroyed the building in part of the museum. In 1932 a new museum building was completed and opened to the public.
Bali Museum consists of three main pavilion building that is Tabanan, Karangasem Building and Buleleng Building on the concept of stigma Tri Mandala mandala (the outside), middle-mandala (the outside before entering the nucleus), and the main theater (the core). In the front corner to the right in the middle there is a building called the Bale Bengong. On the front left corner there is a building called the Bale Kulkul.
Tabanan House pavilium architecture that is typical of the Tabanan regency, stored items such ancient objects of art, accessories, housewares, tools bermacama kinds of ceremonies and traditional weapons.
In Building Buleleng North Bali style architecture of the tools stored household items, craft tools, agricultural tools and fishing, entertainment tools, primitive sculptures from clay, stone and more.
In Building Karangasem East Bali style architecture stored various objects of prehistoric, archaeological objects, ethnography, fine arts as well as some mordern paintings.
Bali Museum has a collection of no less than 10,506 pieces, including manuscripts, coins, ceramics and ancient porcelain.
Other Facilities In addition to the three pavilions at the top, there are also other facilities such as libraries, laboratories, and exhibition building. There is also a canteen that sells drinks and food to travelers.
Ticket USD 2 thousand for adults and half for children.
